After graduating from Dallas Baptist University in 2006, I started working at Starbucks Coffee Co. while I figured out what I wanted to do. Little did I know that experience would ignite a passion for coffee that would lead me to spending the next seven years working my way from barista to manager of one of the busiest stores in the South.
I always loved visiting the Hill Country, so in 2013 I moved to Austin. Soon after, I met the woman who would become my wife, Jessica, and together we ran Crema Bakery & Cafe for almost a decade. Being able to grow my own business while caring for my customers was extremely fulfilling, and I love that I can serve both my clients and community with JBGoodwin. Working in real estate allows me to help people achieve their goals, see their dreams come true, and truly change their lives for the better.
When I'm not at work I'm usually hanging out with my wife, our daughter, and our menagerie of one English bulldog, a schnauzer mix, and two cats. I also enjoy reading, cooking, seeing live music, and collecting succulents and exotic plants.

As you may have guessed, I didn’t take the direct path to my career in real estate. After growing up on the Texas Gulf Coast, I studied journalism at The University of Texas at Austin. I fell in love with our city in its “Keep It Weird” heyday and have been amazed but not at all surprised by the extraordinary growth of the last 20+ years.
After almost a decade as a music and lifestyle journalist, I moved to the nonprofit sector and served as communications coordinator for an agency that supports at-risk kids and families. I like to stay busy, so I started a business making desserts in my free time. My part-time gig soon took over my life, and I was fortunate enough to run my own bakery and café in Southwest Austin for almost 10 years.
I decided to join my wife in real estate after closing my shop because it felt like the perfect way for me to continue serving my community. I love connecting with people, helping others and using my skills of investigation, communication and problem solving to make life better. (And my open houses have the best snacks!) I can’t wait to work with you!
